I just returned home from a pre-Easter week South of the Mason Dixon Line. The Cherry Trees were in bloom, as were the tulips, daffodils and (almost) an Azaleas or two. I ran into a giant white bunny-for real (see below) and ingested more jelly beans than I can remember.
I screamed on a Tilt-A-Whirl, collected shells on the beach and blasted the radio with all four windows down-as only can be done on a good road trip. The whole week felt colorful, fresh and happily indulgent. It made me remember why warm, early Spring days are a lot like sugary colors- they seem even sweeter when they are strung along next to each other. It’s probably why that bowl of jelly beans was just too appealing to resist!
