My trip to NeoCon Chicago made me sing:
Picture yourself in a boat on a river
With tangerine skies and marbelous spires
Chicago calls you, you breathe all in slowly
Entranced by kaleidoscope sides
Window-framed towers of blue and green glass
Towering over your head
look as the sun fades slowly down low
And it’s gone
Chicago’s downtown is a diamond
Chicago’s downtown is a diamond
Aaaaahhhhh . . .
Float with me down to a bridge by a fountain
Where finance-rocked people drink red wine and sigh
Smile as you drift past the Ferris wheel turning
Circling so incredibly high
Newspaper taxis appear on the shore
Waiting to take you away
Back to hotels echoing retro/flower
Daze now gone
Chicago’s downtown is a diamond
Chicago’s downtown is a diamond
Aaaaahhhhh . . .
Picture yourself on a train to the airport
In tunnels of glass colored tiles
Suddenly you glance back from the turnsile
To breathe in Chicago’s skyline
Chicago’s downtown is a diamond
Chicago’s downtown is a diamond
Aaaaahhhhh . . .
TIP: Use paint colors that make you sing!
